Golden Care Collective was founded by Rena Kokinakis, driven by a deep commitment to supporting seniors in healthcare settings.

 

While volunteering in the Emergency Department at Scarborough Health Network in Toronto, Rena witnessed firsthand the challenges seniors face when navigating medical appointments alone. Many arrived unaccompanied, and although she could help some during her shifts, volunteers were not always available when needed most. This experience inspired the creation of Golden Care Collective—a dedicated service ensuring that no senior has to face healthcare visits alone.
